Sometimes I find hazelnuts on their own are too strong a flavour for me. However, when I combined hazelnuts with pecans it created this lovely rich nut butter that I absolutely loved! Its so simple to make and you only need 2 basic ingredients…. the nuts!
150g of Pecan Nuts
100g of Hazelnuts
1) Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan oven).
2) Place the nuts on a baking tray and bake for 8-10 minutes (keep an eye on them and don’t let them burn)
3) If the hazelnuts have their skins on, place them between a towel and rub them in the towel. This will remove the skins.
4) Place the hazelnuts and pecans into a blender and blend until smooth (you may need to scrape down the sides a couple of times).
Store in an airtight container! Enjoy!
